“HOW DOES LEARNING HAPPEN? ONTARIO'S PEDAGOGY FOR THE EARLY YEARS (2014)” (HDLH) guides our licensed child care program and we offer a learning program that is consistent with the Ministry of Education policies, pedagogy and curriculum.

We see children as competent individuals, capable of complex thinking, curious and rich in potential and we value and build on their strengths and abilities. We encourage the children to interact and communicate in a positive way and support their ability to self-regulate.

Through a variety of daily experiences and with the guidance of our trained home child care providers, EQUIA Licenced Home Child Care fosters the child’s physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development using the four foundations of HDLH (belonging, well-being, engagement, and expression). We provide learning opportunities both indoors and outdoors.
